 TEACHING STYLE AND OFFERING
My teaching style is a synthesis of the two yoga styles I studied intensively: Hatha Flow and Iyengar-based Hatha yoga. Flowing transitions between postures help students to hold postures. Simplified movements ensure there is adequate preparation for postures and a gradual progression.

Adapting to client needs by encouraging feedback, requests and questions helps me tap into the healing potential of each student and facilitates the transformation of body, mind and spirit. Cultivating peace within awakens its potential to extend out into the world.

Techniques of yoga practice used include relaxation, postures, breath-work, concentration exercises and meditation

Personalized one-on-one work, small group classes and workshops on healing back pain are available. Format varies with needs and what is feasible for student.

I have taught seniors, people with special needs, including people with mental handicaps, and low income Ontarians.

"Linda is able to meet students different needs and abilities.  She adjusts positions to ensure that students regardless of their abilty can participate in the class fully.  Linda's gentle style is a gift as she guides you into stretches that are more difficult.  She has a good knowledge of anatomy and her instructions help you get the most of each step.  She creates a peaceful, accepting environment and genuinely cares for her students.  In Linda's classes, I have been able to experience the benefits of both the physical and spiritual aspects of  yoga."
